It's about using Goatcounter for small projects as a simple and cheap analytics tool that's pretty good privacy-wise compared to other options.

@accudio It’s always nice reading what others are doing in this space! I went through a similar journey as you last year, event tried GoatCounter for a while, but I just hated its design. 😅 So I settled with Umami, but that turned unreasonably hard to maintain on my hosting provider of choice…so I’m currently building my own system. 🤣 Let’s see how that goes.

@accudio Thanks for the write up! I’ll give goatcounter a try. I haven’t had any analytics since tinyanalytics (was that even the name?) shut down.
