@InarticulateOtter Headphones are the traditional solution and even more effective than speakers. Headsets even, although I find phone microphones rather impressive.

@InarticulateOtter @EdCates To be honest with you I am kinda not buying this as a reason. I have travelled A LOT on public buses and even in an above average noisy bus using the phone in a conventional manner works fine. Also the circumstance under which most people get annoyed with public speaker phone calls is when it in a public place is quiet enough that you can hear the person having the call loud enough that it becomes intrusive so that whole it too noisy reason doesn't fly.

@InarticulateOtter @EdCates also proximity sensor not working sometimes. So you just end call, mute microphone or do strange things.
