As a father who homeschools his children, I think there's a bit of nuance to religion.
My curriculums are mostly secular, but I do think religion is important to better understand sociology and culture. Having an elementary understanding of someones faith gives a bit of insight on how they think.
I don't think this is always bad.
But the one rule I will not compromise, is *religion needs to stay out of a science classroom*

@jeff@my0.net I homeschooled my children, some longer than others. I sent them to Hebrew School as well. And at a certain point, we tried to introduce them to other religions so they would have more familiarity with them. I taught the kids history, math, chemistry, and physics, my husband taught biology and civics. We made sure they learned about evolution and the Big Bang. But we had to do some hunting for materials. A lot marketed to homeschoolers is missing topics to be "inoffensive".
