The company is holding the last two days of April for #AI Immersion Days. We are supposed to drop everything and brainstorm uses of “AI” at the company.
I loathe this so much.
I don't think I'm going out on a limb by saying that I think "AI" is awful. It's theft. It harms the planet. It makes people paranoid. And it's useless.
In that, there is no use for "AI" that benefits me, much less the company, and especially not humanity. (1/5)

There is nothing that I (or anyone) can design that uses an "AI" agent that will materially make my job easier, make the company more efficient, or reduce costs. I was kvetching with my therapist about my conundrum. I don't want to lose my job or not be seen as a "team player”. I only recently got this job after being laid off from the last one. I've been laid off SIX TIMES. It doesn't get easier. Each time it happens, I wonder if this is the layoff that I don't bounce back from. (2/5)
