@junklight Yeah, this sounds about right. If the original actors don't want anything to do with JKR/HP, then they're not going to participate in marketing/merching/etc. Remaking it with more amenable actors gives them a chance to do more merch, licencing deals, events, etc. It's hardly ever about the merit of the film with this shit, the film is just a trailer for all the other crud (though there being a new film also means award eligibility, etc, which is additional marketing for the mech).
