@netopwibby That is part of the justification for the Gemini network. (Which predated that Google obscenity significantly and is nothing whatsoever like it.) it's a bit like the web when it was HTML 1.0 and Netscape, crossed with Archie. Like webpages only with very few graphics, no scripting, and a lot of very simple, easily readable text It avoids all the enshittification that has gone on since the WEB became saturated with criminal and corporate entities. (and good luck telling the difference.)

@wpeckham I recently became familiar with a bootleg music blog that ran on Gemini for several years https://blog.pabloecortez.com/lost-media-konpeito-tapes/ I immediately found a client I like (Lagrange) to visit and download the tapes. Fantastic. I definitely need to get into making my own Gemini sites.
