@NilaJones ah, now I see the thrust of your question.
The liner is not removable so I cannot see the interior layer, but I'm familiar with the DWR coating you're describing and it's obvious to both visual inspection and a water droplet test that this is uncoated cordura.

@gnomon Okay cool, now I know what we're talking about here! I suspect the manufacturer chose to use uncoated cordura because of the inner, separate, waterproof layer If you have two waterproof layers next to each other, you get condensation and mold between the layers So I think they deliberately chose a breathable cordura for the other layer
