@djoerd feel free to adapt but I lobbed this bad boy over the proverbial wall.
Dear In'to languages,
Please reconsider the so-called generative AI courses you offer students and colleagues. In a couple of years we will all be looking back wondering, like we do with cigarettes and petroleum, how we allowed ourselves to ignore experts and sensible reasoning.

@djoerd If you want to understand more, consider why even tho one cigarette won't give you cancer or leaving your car running needlessly for extended time isn't the cause of global warming, we still don't recommend these. In fact, we might try to stop others doing them and certainly wouldn't train students to smoke or leave their cars idling. Why sell out to corporate interests especially within a university setting? 2/
