If you want to understand more, consider why even tho one cigarette won't give you cancer or leaving your car running needlessly for extended time isn't the cause of global warming, we still don't recommend these. In fact, we might try to stop others doing them and certainly wouldn't train students to smoke or leave their cars idling. Why sell out to corporate interests especially within a university setting?

@djoerd One of the few environments the tax payer actually funds to be explicitly free from industry bias. We don't want to take money from digital Marlboro or Shell, it's a deep conflict of interest. I don't expect you to understand and agree and change immediately, especially if you are already addicted and highly dependent on these fascist tools, as I suspect you are to offer these courses. These tools are highly addictive especially to those without PhD-like expertise. 3/
