I also like the Taylor brightness, so we all have our tastes. I find it a lot easier to roll brightness off in a recording or go to warmer strings, than I do to create it in an instrument that doesn't have it.

@TheGreatLlama This is absolutely true: better to be too bright and tame it than not bright enough and try to compensate. That's my approach to most instruments, but particularly bass.
