@luka Thank you! My only social media (ever), it’s here <3 I was just reading your blog post. I haven’t been following instance-insides the past two years and didn’t notice that some ppl left :/ I’m sorry to hear that. It’s also helpful to read about the differences between Mastodon and GoToSocial. You can’t just “migrate” a whole instance from one to the other, right?

@jine well, instance-insides were not really visible publicly. in fact we're pretty much drama-free, but from time to time something happens. no, unfortunately, the whole instance itself cannot be migrated from one software to another just like that. it would be possible however to migrate to one of mastodon's forks (glitch or hometown), but it's far from trivial and it would mean our own sysadmin work further on (which i'm avoiding by asking masto.host to host us)
