(it's just an odd sort of trend in reviews I've noticed. Like - the desktop on most distros can be re-created by installing whatever environment and downloading a theme and wallpaper. It being nice for a default setting is good, and deserves *some* time in a review - but like.... What does the distro *DO*, what decisions were made about how it *works*, does it use X, Wayland, Both, Neither? GNU core utils or the sketchy rust re-writes? Which init system does it use? etc.)

(How much do they modify things from the upstream devs? What sort of assumptions does it make? What's the worst thing the maintainer has said publicly since the last release? Like, there's a lot of useful info you can include in a distro review, most of it more important than what their KDE install is setup to look like in the 10 minutes before you replace the background with your favourite anime catgirl picture and change the theme to match.)
