Ah, theguardian.com, engaging in historical revisionism rewriting history to ignore all the extended care for aged parents we've been doing since humanity came into existence, so that they can justify mass extermination of the weak and elderly. Classy.

@cy The author hasn’t called for that at all. What they do point out is that older people are living much longer in a poor state of health than ever before. The extreme positions on this issue, fascistic extermination or prolonging life at all cost for as long as technically possibly while healthcare & housing for others fall into neglect are both unacceptable. The answer is somewhere within the enormous space between them.
