Absolutely they change, I see how much I’ve changed myself since I got older, especially after I retired. I see things starting to change for me again, but which way I’ll swing is something else. I need & it is a need to be active & do things myself when I can, but I also have to learn to ask.
My granddaughters great Nan on her Mums side is turning 94 this year, so 20yrs older than I am & she’s amazing & while she has a family member living with her, she’s keeps herself independent. Just bought herself a brand new little Mazda 3. She doesn’t drive far, but goes to Bowls & over to Albury to play the Poker machines one night a week.

@feather1952 @cheryanne Good on her. My elderly uncle & aunt lived in Cobram, & would drive to Tocumwal for bingo once a week. The pub at Barooga, where my cousin lives, served free meals to over-90s 😁. But he was mostly caring for her, & Parkinson’s made her life miserable. When she passed, he went into care where he excelled at carpet bowls & flirting with carers. He rang me out of the blue for a chat one night (& my sister I later discovered), & died a few days later. He enjoyed his later years, but she existed.
