@compfu to elaborate on this (because I know you're as curious as me with this technical things 😁 ), the issue is not our database, but federation in general. The media files will change their cdn address and so they will be broken for all the other fediverse serverse out there. @compfu well actually I've got more insights: it has to do with our current host because it uses its own cdn and exposes our media file via a domain that we don't own. It won't be the case with other providers. One more reason to migrate, I'd say.
