@compfu well actually I've got more insights: it has to do with our current host because it uses its own cdn and exposes our media file via a domain that we don't own. It won't be the case with other providers. One more reason to migrate, I'd say.

@mauro crap that‘s sad. Does Mastodon have a way to backup my existing media so I could in theory repost or reupload the stuff I cared about?
