@mauro that sounds cool except for the loss of all media. Why would that happen? Isn’t there a way to migrate this from one server to the next? Even if there are hardcoded URLs to mograph.social they should remain accessible? (Trying to understand this from a technical pov. I have no idea about how Masto works….)

@mauro Seems weird when domain stays the same and you fully migrate a database. Everything that’s on the current server *should* work. Anyway - go for it, it’s nice to break stuff fast (just make sure to have an offline database & files backup) ;D

@mauro There’s a migration instruction and it doesn’t mention any broken links / cleanup (so maybe send them this link and ask if following instructions this will prevent the mess): https://docs-p.joinmastodon.org/admin/migrating/
