I expect I’ll eventually get a Leaf. I was planning on a 2022–2024 model year (for battery warranty and features), but the CHAdeMO charging issue would be a problem if we wanted to reliably and easily use it for longer drives (we have a second car in good shape). Now I’m thinking about waiting for 2026 models to get discounted later in the year. That model switched to NACS. But they’re so expensive relative to used, maybe due to the charging issue.

@glennf@zeppelin.flights Between the charging port, battery thermal issues and corresponding range reduction, e-brake failures, complaints about electronics failures and interior build quality, I think the old Leaf is a bag of hurt. The new Chevy Bolt runs about $2500 less. Starts under $30K.
