Watching Super 8 tonight with Kid1
Saw it solo 10+ yrs ago and remember enjoying it and wanting to wait a bit till the kids were older so they wouldn't be too spooked. (Iirc this was before they watched Goonies and much before Stranger Things).
I don't remember anything really - action and suspense chug right along.

Should have (re)watched this 5 yrs or so ago with kids. (Before the Alien movies 😀) Fun ride! I think I'll try and queue up District 9 for them to watch. Idk I have the stomach for that myself in 2026 conditions #Movies

@SRDas I did the same with my kids. I was always looking for movies for them which mimicked those I loved when growing up. In particular movies where kids band together to overcome an obstacle. I can’t understand why Super 8 isn’t more well known.
