the zine makes a statement that "tech stacks" have become so complex that they're impossible to understand for individuals
this is a defeatist narrative and blocks out another radical tactic, namely using and reproducing computational stacks that are understandable and auditable
cooperation between tinkerers can achieve magnificent things. including "understanding tech stacks". not all devices have to be powered by monolithic code with a decade of technical debt

the zine also mentions self-hosting as a radical means of resistance and while i am personally not even going to question the immense value of hosting one's own tech, i do want to circle back to a lack of meaningful engagement with legislation all entities that self-host content hosting and dissemination platforms (like mastodon) are legally liable for hosting illegal material once they are made aware that the content exists. this is, again, the #DSA (7/12)
