the definition of a vector given in the zine tried to build on marxist theory, from what i can tell
(a "vector is the means by which digital information is created, transmitted, processed and/or stored")
vectors are defined as easy to replicate and always-available. their value can potentially be infinite, as opposed to the value of physical objects.
let's stick to marxist theory. vectors *do* have a physical reality: the hardware that creates, transmits and stores information

right now, USA-based companies like OpenAI have used their capital to pre-order so much hardware (processors, GPUs etc.) that they exhausted the offerings of producers. we, consumers, can't buy the same kinds of hardware pieces that OpenAI pre-ordered because everything that will be produced in 2026 has already been bought by them. not to mention that data degrades because of hard-disk corruption and transmission errors. data isn't eternal, nor can it be replicated infinitely.
