@shinealittlelove Yeah, I ditched the smart phone close to 10 years ago. I carried no phone for a while--trust me, you're not allowed to do that in America. If they can't spy on you, they will fuck your world up until you start carrying a spy device again. I just want to take a moment to brag. I'm like the young 'uns in that whatever social skills I have I learned over the internet. I was pretty thoroughly isolated until my mid 20's when I got online, and I've been terminally online since the 90s. However, if you uplook me, you'll get nothing. Other people with my name, and maybe 8 pages deep in the results you can find an antique phone number, but nothing else. I'm a ghost. Hell, I only put my face on the net once, and deleted that account a couple weeks later. I've never tweeted, tiktook, instagrammed, etc... I simply stayed out of the Twitter/Facebook era of social media. I'm thrilled to have found Mastodon. Even though I don't code, I seem to understand computers on a cynical level that even the young 'uns who use them naturally don't seem to comprehend. I was using computers before mice, GUIs, and even hard drives, and I'd never trust one to boil water for me. And I refuse to let a machine do my thinking for me. I won't let another human think for me, and computers are sub moronic. Anyway. I've been terminally online for close to 30 years and left no footprint at all. *pats self on back*
