I am over the moon! I brought my 14 year old laptop from Portugal. I had completely forgotten about it.
I ordered a new SSD (cost me a fortune) and I am planning to put Linux Mint on it as it is draggging itself with Windows 10.
Anyway! I remembered that I could try to plug my Kobo Mini (2012) in it and try to update the firmware as my macbook pro doesn't recognise the device at all... And it worked! My perfectly functional Kobo Mini now connects to the wi-fi! No e-waste here! ๐

@anarodrigues Fwiw, this is exactly what I did with my also 14 year old desktop PC that can't be upgraded to Windows 11, and I've been pretty happy with Linux Mint!
