Thanks to @concretedog , @neil &amp; @foosel, I&#39;ve ended up buying an Xteink X4. Picked it up from ebay from a UK importer, and it came with a screen protector and mag rings, but they didn&#39;t have the cases. I 3D printed one of the slide-on ones but it just doesn&#39;t feel nice, so I&#39;ve made a fold-over magnetic case mostly using some resources I had lying around. Had to buy a small amount of felt for the lining and 3D printed some strengtheners to form the spine and protect the front.

It should be noted that a living wage for the time it took would make it worth three times the cost of the device before materials costs. I'm not making another anyway. It does thicken the device significantly, but it's still as pocketable as my wallet, so is perfectly acceptable to me. And since the X4 is only held in with its magnet, it's easy to take out if I want it smaller. Might investigate small magnets to hold it closed too, but the leather's thick, so they'll have to be strong.

@alyn @concretedog @foosel Oooh, nice! I went for a cheap clear case which protects the sides/back. I dropped the ereader onto our driveway this morning, and it bounced, so money well spent, IMHO!

@alyn @concretedog @neil @foosel Welcome to the club. I found my hand cramping on the tiny device, so I added a MagSafe phone holder ring to put a finger through. Works like a charm. The bonus is I can now do spinning tricks with my tiny ereader.

@alyn that's an awesome case! I still just use mine as is, the magnet is on the back of my phone tho but I keep them separate just as much. @concretedog @neil @foosel
