@colinstu I had the rechargeable AAs that had the USB port (like a lot of 9v ones do) and that burned out the power going to my USB hub in my laptop...

@howtophil ouch sorry to hear >v< Yeah for sketchy usb things I try to keep to only cheap apple USB charging bricks. Can buy big lots of genuine ones on eBay for a good price. Lot less to lose in case things go awry.
