Yeah for sketchy usb things I try to keep to only cheap apple USB charging bricks. Can buy big lots of genuine ones on eBay for a good price. Lot less to lose in case things go awry.

@colinstu Well, I can still use USB on that laptop... if I plug a battery into it or use an externally powered USB hub. But yeah, don't charge it on your computer.
