@RosaCtrl See, I love perl. But even I'm gonna say awk here. If you're doing anything that awk can't handle, you should definitely use a REAL language.

@RosaCtrl perl. Always perl. Unless you only know sed/awk. But seriously, the moment you need more than regular automata-based pattern recognition, might as well use the sledgehammer. Also, I don't want to learn more than the 2-3 things I learned in awk. But my answer is absolutely made in good faith of course. 😬
