@82mhz @howtophil hopefully it's just a matter of cleaning the switches/keys perhaps.
Do any keys feel stiff or sticky or don't depress all the way etc?
Worst case scenario the keyboard could be replaced. At least it's nothing more serious!

@colinstu @howtophil No the keys all feel fine. I booted it up again with the keyboard connected... this time no beeps, and an online keyboard test shows no keys permanently pressed. Maybe it was just a matter of cleaning and reseating the cable. Hopefully... Einther way, thanks both of you for the hint! I wouldn't have guessed that it might be the keyboard...
