@Judeau @scribblemacher Well, what happens is the ceiling is, for some reason, lower on it, so you hit the ceiling and can't make the jump. So yeah, obviously no one playtested because you can't beat the game without cheating. The fact they fixed it in the NES version isn't exactly a plus in that regard because it still means they knew about it and didn't fix it in other versions until much much later (apparently the PC version in Europe got an updated version much later that fixed it. They apparently didn't bother to share that version with the US or fix any others like that C64 version. Actually, by that point it was likely owned by someone else...) Really, it just shows how evil the developers really were. They knew, but didn't care. They had their money.
