@nazokiyoubinbou @scribblemacher YES!!!! That blew me away! I had so much trouble with that jump as a kid and never had any idea that you could just walk over it.
So many frustrating moments on that segment of the game.
So, it has some devious design choices. It is a brutally tough game.
Regardless, I really do love this one. It''s a great game and everybody else is incorrect. 😁

@Judeau @scribblemacher Alright, we're going to sit here on our individual hills firing cannons forever at each other because I will never ever accept anything but that it's a horrible horrible game. Heck, the US PC version couldn't be beaten without cheating. There was a jump in a later level that couldn't be made. Apparently there was an exploit that let you walk through terrain on the overhead map and that was the only way to beat that version of the game. I don't even think I ever beat the NES one even with Game Genie. Though by then I may have just not wanted to anymore. It was just not a fun game. Completely unfair and punishing without the rewards.
