I have a few quasi-medical appointments next week, so I’ve been getting reminder texts from those offices today. When each text arrives, Siri pops up a notification, suggesting that I might want to add an event to my calendar. Of course, I already have the events in my calendar, so the main purpose of these notifications is to remind me that Apple’s promises from nearly two years ago still haven’t been fulfilled.

@drdrang And there are things Apple hasn't promised that it should have, such as providing an API for linking across all its data-rich apps: [Apple’s macOS Apps Are the Weak Link](https://hookproductivity.com/blog/2025/07/apples-macos-apps-are-the-weak-link/)

@drdrang It’s ok. Apple Intelligence will be announced again at WWDC this year and I’m sure they’ve really nailed it this time! You know what they say, third time’s the charm! 😩 🤦‍♂️

@drdrang Most of the problems with Siri can be solved without AI.

@drdrang Thursdays I chair an off-campus meeting where a member’s choice of anonymity is always granted. This is right next door to a “massage” parlor. I really loved when my iPhone unprompted told me due to traffic it would only take me 12 minutes to get to [name of “massage” parlor] this week. Um, thanks?
