Preassembling suspension bits...
Fucksake. I got both these done... then realised I forgot something. I was too caught up in mucking about with the spring compression and alignment, which was tricky with these basic compression tools.
We'll call that a practice run. (Should be pretty quick the second time around.)
It's a pity the el-cheapo compression tools damage the paint on the springs a bit.

It was also a bit of a puzzle to me how to torque the nuts on the tops of the struts. Looks like the fancy people have some sort of through-hole torque wrench setup. This ratchet spanner perversion is the image from the VW repair manual. I think I'm just gonna have to buzz them with the impact and hope TBH. #RatchetSpannerOnRatchetSpannerAction
