@vhbelvadi good question :) I think, at first you'll have to highlight, there needs to be something to hook on and that the user can see.

@readeck Just to play Devil’s advocate, we can already right-click to highlight, which selects a single word. What if we work on that behaviour? 1. We can have a no highlight option (a ’No’ symbol) 2. Since the right-click behaviour has selected a word as usual, the user makes a note, Readeck places a square marker next to the word (in lieu of a highlight, so it’s visually different but not functionally) 3. In future we accesses the note through that marker No more compulsory highlighting!
