@readeck Sorry it took longer than I'd anticipated but here’s how Kindle does it in two separate steps. Fig. 1 is when you select text, pretty much how Readeck behaves now, except it offers a button to enter a note. Fig. 2 is the note window. I say this is a start because it involves an unnecessary click and, if you look at the second figure, you’ll notice there’s no way to go back from the note window to the highlight/note/look up bar. My solution: combine them but with a shorter note window.
