Dear Fedipeeps, I seek your counsel on buying the right drawing pad. Here are my ideal requirements, though I am willing to compromise (especially on the price, and except the Linux part): - Something to use with Krita - I am not a sophisticated artist by any margin, I plan to mostly draw naive, aquarelle- and flat-like comics and text-accompanying images. - I prefer to see what I draw on the surface, so with a screen. - Price range up to 666€. - I use Linux, it should fully work on it. I used some cheap Wacom in the past, it wasn&#39;t half-bad but I don&#39;t enjoy staring at a different screen. I&#39;ve seen Huion Kamvas 16 Gen 3 recommended for my requirements, but I have no idea what I&#39;m doing. Any tips welcome! @zenbeater Having used Wacom all I had was disappointment, especially for the cost. Instead I've been using XP Pen for a couple of years and have not been disappointed. It's a device that *just works* which is awesome. They have a range of devices to suit how much or little you do and their customer service is reasonable too on the rare occasions I've had need of it.

@zenbeater A good start is https://www.davidrevoy.com/index.php?tag/hardware -- personally, I still use an Intuos 3 with my main linux desktop and for fun and drawing a Movinkpad with Android, so my personal experience isn't all that relevant. (I never got the enormous CIntiq we got because there was a bug in the Wacom Windows drivers to work well with Linux... Also not really with Windows, MacOS was fine. But it's outside your budget anyway.)

@zenbeater same situation here! right now im eyeing at either the xp pen artist pro 22 gen2 or the huion Kamvas 22 gen3 that just got released like a month ago. idk about their European prices but in the US they’re all under $600 if you can get them on sale! only thing about the kamvas is that it has a rgb led on the back that you can only control using the official drivers. dunno how you’ll be able to control it under KDE.
