So here I am looking at RAID arrays on Amazon, and it has a little sponsored block, "Brands related to your search". I would screenshot it for posterity but I can't get it all on one screen, so you will have to be contented with a transcript. It reads, in order left to right:
• WD - "Galaxies of Storage"
• TerraMaster Data Storage Master - "Your all-in-one NAS for Geeks, Business, and Home"
• LaCie - "Pros Trust the Rugged Family"
• Chefman - "Healthier Cooking With Chefman Air Fryers"
• Sabrent - "External USB Hard Drive Docking Stations 1-8 Bays!"
One of these things is not like the others.

@siderea If you don't design the airflow right, lots of storage arrays can be turned into air fryers. I must admit I hadn't thought of doing it deliberately.

@siderea well the air fryer is obviously for when you need to securely dispose of the disks that used to contain sensitive data

@siderea Instead of a RAID, I'm getting (next week?) a Synology NAS with 2 bays, 4Tb drives in each bay. The backups will alternate drives for replication. At least, that's what my Mac systems guy recommended, and he's been pretty good in the past.
