@doppelgrau no experience. would not be surprised if the health insurance/md are "more reluctant" on agreeing to pay cause they say that "a person who does not want the full binary transition package is not suffering and thus trans enough" even though its cheaper. so i would try to not let them know its what you want until they agreed to pay. but i would be interested in hearing from people who already got the whole paperwork mess sorted.

@doppelgrau I documented my minimal depth surgery & recovery in detail here https://weblog.masukomi.org/2025/08/11/bottom-surgery-with-dr.-purohit/ The impression I got from my doc was that the stuff he did for me was the same he'd do for full depth patients, except for where / how he anchored the vagina. My advice is to find someone who has visual results and a rep for being helpful & kind with patients afterwards, especially when / if there's a problem. 🧵1/2
