My brain felt quite wonky this week, because I finally handed over a project to a team of two colleagues and I'm starting now to realise how much that project burned me out in the last year.
My regular role is to be "deployed" in nasty / high risks projects and make them straight, often solo, managing all the customer's resources and external suppliers. I've been doing this for the last 10 years and I safely assume that I'm getting ready to say that "I'm too old for this shit"
One of the things that I reckon annoyed the hell out of me is straightening the AI fuckups that many external suppliers are regularly using without putting their brain into it (the usual cheap formula: just employed worker / fresh from university plus Claude/GPT/whatever).
I foresee a talk with the HR is due this year. Using Marie's words, this doesn't bring me joy (anymore).

@alex@gamerstavern.online Ooof I feel ya brother. Those feelings were what pushed me out of the server side of IT many years ago. Not that software is much different. Just gotta do what’s right for you and yours first. The rest will sort itself out. Also the thing I’ve recently learned after all these years is that it doesn’t matter how hard I kill myself, they could yank the job from me and have it posted that same day.
