My 9yr old kiddo just fixed his first piece of tech. It was a little portable FM/AM radio with the little dial to manually tune your radio stations: the wheel had gotten stuck and the aerial had become disconnected. With some hands off encouragement from me, he figured it out himself and got it working. The absolute elation on his face as he realised he'd done a thing - was priceless. We need more kids to experience this feeling. Fixing their own stuff, taking stuff apart and making them...

Long ol' post about sim racing and rally, soz: So, I indulged in a spot of rally last night, having not done any in a long while. I started in Assetto Corsa Rally, and then moved over to EA WRC. I can't believe how much I was baffled by how janky the physics in EA WRC felt. I guess I've just been playing it for so long that I got used what the physics in EA WRC did and how to work around them. Safe to say, ACR is lightyears ahead in terms of car handling. Whilst it isn't perfect...

Things you don't want to hear in the back of the car from your 2yr old. "Mmhmmm. That's a GREAT big bogey" "Uh...what did you do with it...?" "Don't worry, it's all gone now!" Actually, I don't want to know. I'm more sane not knowing.

Sooooo I hear EA fired a ton of staff across the board, including a bunch from the Battlefield 6 team even after an incredibly successful launch. Hardly surprising, but it just seems so abusive. Use all these incredible staff’s talents to get a great product, then boot them out as soon the rewards of said product start coming in. I believe Bungie did a similar thing with their developers in Destiny 2? Its hard to know which way to turn as a consumer. Do we not support EA for their shitty pra...

Cant find the peg for keeping the coffee bag sealed? Don't worry- that pair of arterial forceps that you've always got lying around will do the job just fine

Found an old clip of me playing the drums 🤣 damn I really miss playing. This was a time when I was a little rusty and decided to hastily set up the kit while I had some free time, hence the speakers cutting out the last few seconds haha...

The other night, I drove the Lancia Stratos in Assetto Corsa Rally. I've previously never been all that interested in it. Not for any reason, it just sat on the back benches waiting it's turn. Hell, I was not disappointed. The car tries to kill you when you're not looking. Turn a corner too hard? It'll kill you. Put your foot down too much? It'll kill you. Try to slow down too much? You guessed it. It's like an angry wolf on a lead- you've got to keep it in check, e...
