... Distro review videos are very strange. Like, there is value in doing reviews of distros, BSDs, major-release reviews, etc. But a lot of the videos seem to focus on things like the default config for the default desktop enviornment, and neglect things like what software comes with the base install, what decisions were made about the base install, custom/unique features, things that determine how the distro *works* rather than how it looks. (Not all, prob not even most, are like this >)

    (it's just an odd sort of trend in reviews I've noticed. Like - the desktop on most distros can be re-created by installing whatever environment and downloading a theme and wallpaper. It being nice for a default setting is good, and deserves *some* time in a review - but like.... What does the distro *DO*, what decisions were made about how it *works*, does it use X, Wayland, Both, Neither? GNU core utils or the sketchy rust re-writes? Which init system does it use? etc.)
