@karpour@mstdn.social the ones I want to keep go in a metal bucket in the garage (climate controlled, concrete floor). The ones that are iffy/bulging go in ziplock bags, then into another metal bucket, then I pour sand on the top. That stays covered outside until I'm ready to recycle them. Short term, batteries I want to keep sit on my desk, which has a ceramic top (but I should probably start bagging them).

@karpour@mstdn.social i just keep phones in a box away from the batteries. for batteries, if its a generic lipo/nicd, those are sent to hazardous waste, if its integrated into some kind of plastic housing those are in my tub of sadness.
