*guy in 1967* the demand for electric harpsichords has increased over 900% in the last six months, and as a result we're closing all our other production lines to focus on winding special harpsichord pickups. you could say i've bet the company on it, but it's a sure bet. the future of music

@jk to be fair that was the first era of psychedelic/prog rock, and electric harpsichords were around since 1761- invented by a Jesuit priest - it looks like there was a good chance of getting a strong (but not lethal) electric shock from this instrument which was probably why the Jesuits liked it - my late father went to a Jesuit 6th form college in Singapore, which shaped his musical tastes (including the bagpipes, and Volksmusik) https://beyond-the-coda.blogspot.com/2020/04/clavecin-electrique.html
