@Timothyswallehz In the farm schools they teach not to let the soil stay naked in the sun. They collect dry grass and mulch every place.
What I do is cutting the roots of weed and compost only them. The plant without roots are taken to mulch and to feed snails (which eat the eggs of slugs).

@Irisfreundin Yeah the soils must not be naked because of many reasons Me after weeding the garden,I cover them to soil to prevent the soil from losing water during transpiration The fact that this weeds act as fertilizer when then compose and forms manure What other methods do you commonly used to your garden and after you weeding ,why do you only cut roots and you apply to your garden
