Guess you can't have a forever war next to a shipping lane that delivers 20% of global oil and 20% of global LNG.
How exactly does US presence in the Persian Gulf benefit so-called allies? What benefit does the petrodollar bring to the so-called allies?

@anttipeltola@mastodon.world If the end result is a cut of 20% to the amount of carbon the world burns I'd say that was quite a significant benefit.
