One of the weird parts of Star Trek is that the Greek gods are real. Like, unambiguously real, and a few even serve in star fleet it seems. Jesus is also real, and apparently performs the same trick on other planets.
Then they go around preaching atheism.

Leftist atheists don't preach atheism because they don't believe in God. They do it because they believe he exists and they hate him.

@Elliptica Once you get to Next Generation the universal religion is Advaita Vedanta, more explicitly in Enterprise, the prequel. I can't watch much after Berman era but I think New Trek is like, Afro-Lesbian spirituality or something.
