As a retro being, I sometimes feel stuck gazing at my rear mirror instead of looking forward through the windshield and as I try to begin conversations with friends and family about those &quot;good ol&#39; days&quot;, I notice something odd: they don&#39;t seem to care as much as I do? Have they moved on? How? Why am I a retro hardware/software hoarder? Why do I hark back to &quot;that time&quot; so often? Nostalgia can be a bitch. Is there anyone with similar feelings that has researched the topic a bit?

@jefklak No one I have meatsuit contact cares about any of this. Most of them just want more of the "current thing". "Why are you making things harder for yourself" is what I heard on a few occasions.

@jefklak Upon reflection, I believe that it's very much about living in the moment. Just going with the flow and "accept things as they are". I'm trying hard to use positive terminology, obviously ;)
