@Linzington@kind.social There USED to be "The Crew" - away from the single-player story mode, you could just login to a shared sandbox and drive anywhere, and form 'groups', but UbiSoft KILLED it. :(

@Linzington@kind.social Burnout Paradise is just a big world map where you play as cars. you can drive around and do races and stuff, or just explore and find secrets like billboards to break and sweet jumps

@Linzington@kind.social not exactly a fit, but Sam and Max Hit the Road is a celebration of weird roadside attractions with nods to the trappings of road trips like gas station stops with kitschy games and items. It runs under ScummVM.

@Linzington@kind.social i was having great time with snow runner. Technically its hauling cargo, and a lot of mud pits to problem solve thru, but its multiplayer and core is driving around maps
