<p>Solidly Gen X. Missing the age where 8 bits got you pretty far, and 640K of ram seemed like a dream. I&#39;ve been computing since Knight Rider was so cool I had to turn off my Vic-20 so I could watch it. </p><p>I&#39;ve also got a lifelong love affair with music.     Somewhat a subtoot: When is the Automan reboot going to happen? HMM?!? 😆 What a horrible TV show. I liked it as a kid well enough, but even then, felt (for probably the first time) that the show was actually terrible.

    I was today years old when I realized why someone on here having a cat named Donut is hillarious. LIke, I knew it was hillarious, but didn&#39;t consciously make the Dungeon Crawler Carl reference.

    Last night it really hit me that Myst is really just an Infocom-style text adventure game with clicking and graphics instead of typing and text.

    I fear that the acting is campy, the story a bit forced at times, and the effects have not held up per se. Babylon 5 has a good core of a story with strong points to make. After all these years I&#39;m able to forgive the failings of what are essentially window dressings. There&#39;s just an amazing story there, and of a scale never attempted in a show like this. It&#39;s a series that somehow continues to get screwed over in spite of breaking so much new ground. I love it for that. #bab...

    Oh dear. We&#39;re at the B5 episode where they have the creepy classist/eugenicist/asshole species that sign on... for interesting and unfortunate reasons. This is really where the writing and buildup of a larger story arc started paying off in the series. #babylon5

    Today&#39;s quandry: I have always, even when they were still being made, wanted an Amiga. I used one once, maybe twice. Now I&#39;m wondering if investing in real hardware is a worthwhile pursuit. I have no real nostalgic connection to the system like I do my C64. So #askfedi / #retrocomputing folks: What is your take on diving into hardware retrocomputing for a system you&#39;ve never owned?
