Still haven't listened to the new Beck, there's a stubborn part of me that doesn't like to stream a new album without actually purchasing it. And I'm also still kind of stubborn about wanting to be able to walk into a record store and buy a new record instead of preordering and having it mailed. (also, it's easier to justify when you're standing there holding an LP your hot little hands and not looking at an extra $10-15 for shipping) Some stuff...

I have said it before but Tim Heidecker's "High School" (2022) is a surprisingly sincere (if all you know him from is Tim and Eric,) straightforward, dare I say sweet, album that you may appreciate if you were an early 1990's teen It's a low-key favorite for a certain mood https://youtu.be/XVjvJ5FX2gE

Hwaet? I'm posting from this account? After all this time? Anyhow, I'm hoping for some insight here from my fellow Tourette people. Has anyone else ever had the tic urge come to them in dreams? I have never* ticced or felt any tic urge in my dreams, but I'm wondering if that can explain the strange dream I had last night. In my dream, I wasn't ticcing, but I was very angry. Everything, everyone, made me very angry. And my response was to have a very jerky, spas...

We came home from an errand this afternoon, looked out a window, and spotted a Great Blue Heron .... right there! We rarely see them on this side of the pond and never so near. What a treat. It didn't stay long after we first sighted it before casually walking down the slope toward the pond's edge. #birds #birdsofnorthamerica #GreatBlueHeron

This morning I woke up following a strange and memorable dream. In one part of the dream, I clearly saw a wall calendar with the date March 1989. Many things happened that month in history, of course, with the most prominent probably being “The Great Québec Blackout”. I’ve no idea why my brain chose to display that calendar page, and I’m not ascribing it to premonition. But why dream March 1989? https://spaceweatherarchive.com/2021/03/12/the-great-quebec-blackout/

Rising Bridges. I dug this photo out of the archives yesterday in response to another person’s post. The tall, concrete, arched bridge in the background, frames a steel box bridge in the middle space, both rising from the green trees of the foreground. #bridges #photography
