We came home from an errand this afternoon, looked out a window, and spotted a Great Blue Heron .... right there! We rarely see them on this side of the pond and never so near. What a treat. It didn't stay long after we first sighted it before casually walking down the slope toward the pond's edge. #birds #birdsofnorthamerica #GreatBlueHeron
